Sperm burn!

Has anyone ever experienced this?

I got the Paraguard IUD inserted on Friday and was told to not have sex for two days for pain purposes. My insertion went completely smooth and I barely felt a thing. I waited a day to have sex, but since I felt fine I figured it would be okay.

Sex was not painful at all, other than typical friction towards the end from dryness occurring and having to use lubrication (this is common for me and we always stop to re-lubricate)

A little too much wine later, he came inside me and I had the most painful burning afterwards. A burn that lingered for hours and felt sore. I googled and googled and the only things I’ve found were 1.) this is more common than I thought and could be from not being used to semen. 2.) could be a PH balance thing and too acidic for me. 3.) a sperm allergy that is “super rare but happens”. His sperm has never burned any other part of my body so I’m not sure if that’s the case.

Has this happened to anybody else? I don’t know if it’s from the insertion and my cervix being sore. I highly regret doing it that quickly but the wine gave us other ideas lol.

(We are in a committed long term relationship and recently got tested for STI’s for my insertion, so I am not concerned that is the reason.)
