Current situation

I broke up with ny ex about 3 weeks ago because he disrespected me and failed to acknowledge what he did wrong. Additionally, he has not taken accountability for his bad behaviour. Furthermore, I've had challenges with him that I thought I could compromise on. Since the breakup, my ex has been behaving very badly but then started apologizing after I broke up with him. He has been calling, texting and video calling me non-stop. He also tells others things about me and I told him not to do so. The ither day, he called my mother because he could not get throughto me... He told me that he has a surprise, a gift for me and I told him I didnt want it. He also stated that he wanted to take me out for Valentine's Day. I turned him down too. Yesterday, a gift basket with real roses and other stuff came to my workplace. I threw it away and refused to answer his calls/texts. Am I wrong for throwing away the gift he paid for?
