Cold sores 😩

I took my birth control out about three weeks ago. I was using the ring. And I’ve already gotten two cold sores.. I haven’t gotten a cold sore in almost a year prior to this. Could it be related to the birth control removal?

Side note: I also got into a car accident the week I removed it and I’ve been slightly stressed about the ache in my body as I had to return to work. I know stress can trigger cold sores so I figured I’d mention it.

Has anyone gone through anything similar?
