Daughter present during childbirth

Asking parents that HAVE had or known of someone who has had a child present during birth. My daughter is very much involved this pregnancy and has voiced to us that she would like to go with me and see the baby be born. She is 6 and I feel very mature for her age. We have discussed with midwife already (hospital does allow it), we would have my mom present if for any reason our daughter would decide to leave/feel uncomfortable. We have not yet made a final decision and would just like to hear from someone who has actually experienced this.
