Would you international Travel with baby?

My husband was invited to a coworker’s wedding in Mexico at a 5 star resort… I really want this to be a good idea to go with him but I will be maybe 2 months (7-8 weeks) postpartum. Do I go?

We’ve been traveling with a toddler for the past couple of years straight. It’s exhausting, yes, but also the exhausting parts would be exhausting if we were at home, too (meltdowns, poor sleep, toddlers being toddlers…). But at least we get to have some amazing adventures and see the world! If I were you, I would 100% go for this trip. We’ll have a little one born in August and we’re planning to continue the nomadic life after the first 3 months postpartum.

I would go and take the baby. You’ll deal with wonky sleep (but with a two month old, you’ll be damn lucky if you’re not still dealing with wonky sleep 😂). But it’d be worth it to make the memories with your SO and enjoy yourself as much as you can.

I went to punta Cana 5 month pp for my best friends wedding. And although it had great moments and I don’t regret it. It was a ton of work. One leaving baby sucked two pumping every two hours and having to leave what we were doing to go do it sucked. Then having to dump all the milk broke my heart. It was very stressful. I wouldn’t leave any of my baby’s any earlier than a year knowing now how the trip made me feel.
