HELP!!!!!

I went to the ER the other night thinking I had appendicitis come to find out after numerous tests I have a bladder infection! They cultured it and I’m positive for group b strep, I’m not pregnant numerous negative tests on my period now, how could I have gotten this? Anyone else ever have this and not pregnant? I had a patient at work the other night that’s a baby that had it could I have gotten it from holding the baby then going to pee? I’m not immunocompromised either? HELP!
