Any other campers tired of online reservations?

For those on the apps who camp is anyone else getting annoyed with the state and federal parks online reservations? For summer weekends where we live you have to book the minute the come open for state parks so 6am 6 months before hand. It is most annoying to talk to rangers who are also annoyed because there is like 30-40% of people who just no show becaus they booked a ton of weekends just incase they can make a weekend and don't cancel if they can't go. National parks are even worse. For the more popular parks its like a year out which not everyine can do. Our state even like forest service and local campgrounds are starting to use online reservations and it is getting so hard to camp because we dont have a vehicle we can go to primitive sites. Sucks we can't as a family to just decide to go camling and go anymore because we didn't book 4-6 months out. If you need a yurt or cabin good luck...it is almost impossible. Edit...i wish we could pack pack. My 9 yr old son has a muscular issue and is in leg braces all the time and crutches often. We need more paved areas so campgrounds are what we have to do.
