Has your doctor ever been super rough with your stomach?

My regular ob was out today and I had to see a different one and goodness she was pretty rough. There’s been talk about my baby being quite large so she had me lay down and started feeling him through my stomach. Her hands were jabbing in so deep all over and it was painful, especially down by his head. My ob has done this before too but nothing like this lol I was caught so off guard. She also checked my cervix and was struggling to reach it, so she pushed hard down on the top of my bump to I guess move my cervix closer? My boyfriend just had a shocked expression the entire time with how she was handling me. I’m 37w4d by the way. My baby is moving like usual so I definitely don’t think she hurt him, I’m just wondering if this is common practice
