Possibly pregnant ?

Okay so I have been in the birth control patch for two months now. Well due to my insurance I wasn’t able to get my refill for the last two weeks plus I’ve been on my period within that timeframe. I just got approved to get my refill today so I put the patch on. I want to know if there’s any way that I could possibly be pregnant even tho I put my patch on today. Like would the patch prevent the pregnancy to happen ? Just curious
