How to prevent stretch marks?

I really don't want stretch marks. Anyone know any good techniques to prevent them or lessen them?

It's supposedly hereditary and not always preventable. I have just been using my regular lotion (Jergens Extra Healing) three times a day. I'm due in 23 days and don't have any...yet.

Just keep your belly moisturized! Every night before bed and every morning, if you can. I used some belly butter with shea butter and vitamin E (I can't remember the brand) with my last pregnancy. And I only got a few marks on my sides- hardly noticeable at all. Very small (and probably where I didn't apply enough lotion). I can't guarantee you won't get any- but keeping your belly moisturized definitely helps the elasticity!! Good luck :)

Stretch marks are hereditary. Every woman in my family who has been pregnant has stretch marks. When I had my first 2, I religiously cocoa buttered my whole body, vitamin e oil, everything, from 7 weeks to after delivery. Horrible stretch marks.

I have 2 babies and with my son I used something called Mothers friend and got no stretch marks with baby girl I used cocoa butter and vitamin e oil and got stretch marks  not too many but enough 😑 I'm expecting again and I will be buying some more mothers friend lol

To try and prevent them start using a cocoa butter and vitamin e lotion or oil combination and coconut oil one to two times daily on your belly starting from about 10 weeks on. If you end up getting some I've heard bio oil and mederma work wonders.. just kind of pricey.
