Y’ALL ALWAYS GIVE ME GREAT ADVICE SO WANTED TO POST AN UPDATE HERE…

Edit to add**** So one of my close peers have decided to part ways with the company and on Friday my close peer was at the desk with the girl who acts “weird”. After work me and my “peer” left out together and we were just chatting on how much things have changed “work related” and she goes on to tell me that the “weird chick” made a comment that you can’t talk without people trying to ease drop meanwhile looking at a peer that sits across from her (who she usually talks to) 🤔(unless she was talking about me?)

The other peer that usually stops by her desk and chat no longer does, but they text back in forth. One phone buzz and the other phone is placed on the desk (you can hear it).

Then today I came from the break room and the “weird girl” and the lady that sits across from her were chatting 🤔

I noticed she is very short with me but seems to talk to everyone else. I’m trying to be cordial but ehhh…..

There’s a colleague that only prefers to talk to me when we’re passing or via text. My first day back in office she text me and told me all of the tea that happened while I was out of office. I text and asked if she wanted to step off the floor to talk and she said she rather text. 🤔

Last week I sent her a welcome back message and she was asking if she missed anything. I told her we’d talk after work Monday since I had a lot going on over the weekend. Well, she text me Sunday and asked if I could call her today and blah blah blah… I called her shortly after getting the text and she said she rather talk now then at work cause there’s no privacy and she doesn’t want anybody to think that she’s messy or negative 🤔

Ok, I filled her in on what transpired while she was out and she was telling me how one of the office ladies talks about everybody and blah….. Mind you, she talks to that person, I just have a feeling she doesn’t want to talk to me as she doesn’t want them to know that she talks to me and she’s playing both sides. She’ll even avoid eye contact unless we’re passing each other…. I’m an overthinker but I think this is obvious….

A lady was at her desk talking and they seemed to be having a good convo…..

Edit to add*** we were the only 2 left in the office and I told her bye and she acted if she was afraid to say bye 😯
