GD Diet help :(
I’m waiting for appt with diabetes dr to discuss. But I’ve done research and today was my first time testing my numbers. They’re all pretty much high. Any help on my diet or tips would be so helpful
Dr wants fasting number under 95 and 1 hour numbers under 140
Fasting number 100….
I do know my first mistake was I had 10.5 hours between my bedtime snack to fasting number. I did have a dr appt today and dr told me I should aim for 8 hours and that should bring my numbers down
Breakfast number 120 (1 hr)…
I had 1 thin slice whole wheat Dave’s killer seeded bread, 1/4 large avocado, 2 fried eggs
Snack…
1 string cheese
Lunch number 157 (1 hr)…
15 wheat thins, ham deli meat, Gouda cheese, pickles, mustard. I think I had more cheese than I should’ve and maybe I need a dif kind of cheese that’s less fat?
Snack…
1 oikos triple zero yogurt & small handful of raspberries
Dinner 140 (1 hr)…
1 small Granny Smith apple with no sugar natural peanut butter & small bowl cottage cheese
Haven’t had bedtime snack yet but think I’ll do a string cheese again. Running out of ideas and what I’m trying doesn’t seem to be going well. Any tips to help get my numbers down? I was not very active at all today and maybe need to up my water intake?
