Scared of infertility

Hello!

I’m… scared. My partner and I have been trying to have a baby. We’re very new and it’s only been 4 months. But I’m scared because it hasn’t happened I keep getting my period and today I made a little joke about him having to get me a kitten because he hasn’t given me a baby, and he said “well my package seems to be working fine so I wonder who’s the problem” and I just shattered what if I can’t have babies? We both want a family so bad but what if he leaves me because I can’t have babies? I love him more than anything and other than that remark he’s never said anything cruel or mean he’s always the sweetest. But I’m scared now and I want to burst into tears just writing this.
