She’s finally here!!

Today at 38 weeks and 6 days I started having contractions at home this morning that were about 6 minutes apart. I got up to go to the bathroom and I felt my water break as I was walking to get back into bed. Got to the hospital and when they checked me I was only 2 centimeters dilated. Once we were settled in I got busy trying to stay vertical as to speed up the process. I stayed standing up until I needed a break so I went and sat on the toilet for a little while eventually going to lay on a labor ball. My contractions started becoming extremely painful so I went and sat back down on the toilet. I started feeling the need to push so I got up and went and got on all 4s. I never believed just how strong that urge to push was but there was absolutely no stopping it. I had pushed her out before the doctor had a chance to get into the room. She was born at 12:18 pm weighing 7 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long.
