Breastfeeding blues
First time mom here and my spouse hurt my feelings lol which isn't hard to do especially only having our son 19 days ago...
It took 5 days for my milk to come in and it wasn't a lot but he didn't need much at that time before my milk came in all I had was the colostrum and it hurt so bad latching the baby (my nipples are flat) but I stuck through it till my milk came
Now my son is requiring more milk from me I got a free pump from my insurance and I can get about an ounce each boob but the baby's wanting to eat more and right now my body is just not keeping up with his demand so our son gets upset and fussy starts crying because nothing is coming out after he empties me
Well my s/o made the meanest comment I know we are both frustrated but he said " maybe you should just stop breastfeeding you can't even do it right"
He apologized shortly after but wow that took a hit at my self esteem especially as a new mom
He said his ex with "flatter" nipples then mine was able to breastfeed their daughter all the time no problems
I will admit I cried in the shower I'm so sensitive now
