My cat Tailor Greyson

Anna

So this is a picture of my cat named Tailor Greyson. I found him on my porch as a newborn kitten last year. No mom or littermates in sight and it was getting cold, so I brought him inside and started raising him up. First few weeks were tough, he had constipation issues, neonatal ophthalmia(aka eye infection of the newborn), and a respiratory infection. He wasn’t that strong of a suckler and I honestly think that was why he got the respiratory infection was from aspiration of kitten formula cause even though I was going slow, it was mostly me pushing it into him rather than him suckling. One day, he was so sick that he went unconscious and my mom basically had to do kitten CPR. He got antibiotics for the respiratory infection and he perked right up, went from brink of death to completely fine. And I started tube feeding him afterwards to prevent any further aspiration. I could feel when it was in the wrong vs the right place. Once he transitioned to eating slurry from a dish, I no longer had to worry about him aspirating his food.

His motor milestones were always a week ahead of his age in the first few weeks I had him, i.e. at 1 week old, he was moving like a 2 week old kitten. He grew so fast in the year that I’ve had him. He sticks close to me a lot, he’ll wake me up from my bed by climbing on me, he gets extra clingy when I’m on my period, and he plays with my feet a lot. I go up and down the stairs, he’s play biting my feet. I walk around the kitchen, he’s play biting my feet. But just as often, he’ll nuzzle me or lay on my feet(which often get cold, even in the summer) and occasionally, he’ll lay right in my lap like he’s doing in this picture. Sometimes he even starts licking my feet if he’s grooming himself while he’s laying on or by my feet, and that tickles.
