Flu remedies for 6 months old

My little boy had flu on and off , it's currently on and he's having a hard time sleeping because his nose is blocked and congested and of course he's too little to know he's supposed to blow his nose when it's stuffy or breathe through his mouth when it's blocked... I've tried saline spray but it doesn't really help , I use the nasal aspirator,the plastic bulb kind to suck mucus out but it doesn't really help , I need to know what are the best solutions for this because I'm not sleeping at night , worrying about his breathing and the sounds he makes when breathing, I took him to the clinic because I cannot afford a private doctor but the nurses at the clinic say there's nothing wrong , they suggested saline spray ,which I've already been using.... They didn't give him any meds ... Now I'm at home with a sick baby and I'm completely desperate because I don't know what else to do.any suggestions would be appreciated ❤️
