Universal credit how does it work? Im thinking on claiming but work every day and cant get time off for appointments at a jobcentre, do you have to go in or is it all online ? Also how do you fill in info at end of the month if your self employed?

Universal credit how does it work? Im thinking on claiming but work every day and cant get time off for appointments at a jobcentre, do you have to go in or is it all online ?  Also how do you fill in info at end of the month if your self employed?  Is it like expenses etc ? I have 2 children

Children and stuff doesn’t matter, I think it has replaced job seekers, so you might have to only work a certain amount in order to be eligible, I think you apply online so maybe just do the application and fill it out honestly, and then they can either deny or accept surely :) 
It doesn’t affect your child benefit either, and housing / tax credits - but I’m not 100%
