I just discovered my husband has a work wife

I trusted my husband so much I hadn’t felt the need to check his phone. Today, I was trying to trim my toddler’s fingernails and he put a video on his phone so she would be distracted. He went to the kitchen and left it there. Then he received a text and it was a girl from work. When he’s talked about her, he ALWAYS says she flirts with everyone and has even hooked up with two married guys from work. It was a picture of her lips.

I didn’t think twice and immediately opened it. It was just this picture of her lips like trying to be sexy (really trying) and asking him for permission to be late to work tomorrow because “she was feeling her face swollen”.

I then started looking at their conversations and they are always talking about other people at work, making jokes, they even have a special nickname for each other. He texts her telling her that nickname and saying “you need to come now, you won’t believe this” or “hey, I just discovered something, come here”. They seem to be close and it’s super weird because I remember exactly when they hired her almost 3 years ago and how he was always talking about her being so dumb. Suddenly, like a year ago, he stopped talking about her and when I asked him, he basically just answered “she’s okay, just working”. It is REALLY suspicious that it seems like she’s the closest coworker he has and never talks about her.

I haven’t told him about this, I just put my toddler to bed and I’m crying in the bathroom. I don’t know what to think or do. I feel like I’m exaggerating or maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones (I’m 31 weeks) but I also think it isn’t okay to talk the way they talk.

In my country, we use WhatsApp a lot and that’s where they talk. I’ve always had a picture with him in there and he has a really old one with his cousin, I thought it wasn’t cool that he hadn’t one with me, but also thought maybe he doesn’t care about that and it was just a silly thing. Now I think I know why he doesn’t have one with me. 🙁
