Husband stitch

I recently found out about this thing called “the husband stitch” where after giving birth the dr adds an extra stitch to make you tighter. It’s completely wrong and shouldn’t be done.

Well after giving birth to my 3rd baby I waited the 6 weeks to have sex and I knew something didn’t feel right. I’m 6 months pp and it still hurts. Ive asked my husband if he feels a difference and he keeps saying no but I feel like somethings wrong with me. Sex is bearable sometimes but for the most part it’s painful. How can I know for sure if this was done to me? I’ve been too nervous and embarrassed to ask my obgyn, (I’m going to someone new), would she know ? Or can they tell just by checking down there? Is it on my medical record? Has anyone had this happen to them?
