Dakota for a boy??

We are planning on ttc here in a few months. We have had a girl name picked out since we had our first babe who ended up being a boy. His name is Christian and I was thinking if we had another boy Dakota would pair well ? I know they both kind of have opposite vibes but I like the alphabetical thing since my husband is B and I'm A 😂 Anyway. I was just wondering what people thought about it being a boy name? I've mostly only met girl Dakotas

I’ve only ever met boys/men named Dakota - I love it for a boys name! And most of the Dak and Dax celebrities and athletes you see are Dakotas. I think it’s pretty commonly used for males.

I’m not sure if you’re in the US, but Social Security just released their 2023 most popular baby names. Dakota for a girl ranked 262 (1183 babies) and Dakota for a boy ranked 329 (1009 babies), so slightly more girls than boys, but reallyyyy close.
