What happened after your experience with GD

Question

Can anyone share there experience. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and have GD. I was told at 28. my blood sugars have been able to be controlled by watching my diet and sugar intake. Baby is healthy but I want to know others experiences after baby was born was baby health did baby need extra test or anything

I had GD with my first born. Sugars were controlled by diet as well.  When he was born his sugars were a bit low so they gave him something for that but others wise he was a healthy baby.

I am almost 37 weeks with my third baby. This is my first go with GD. Like you, I have been able to control it by changing my diet. My OB told me that my baby will be tested shortly after birth to make sure she doesn’t have blood sugar issues and depending on results, we will go from there.
