Thrush

Kayla

I had the IUD (mireena) put in a few months ago and since then I’ve had about 4 yeast infections. About to go get yet another treatment but does anyone else get thrush a lot with their IUD? I’ve heard it can happen but how can I stop it?

It's possible for IUDs to increase the risk of yeast infections. To help prevent them, try to maintain good hygiene, avoid douching, wear breathable cotton underwear, and talk to your healthcare provider about other birth control options if the infections persist.
