I need advice:/

So I was on the pill a while back and it caused me to get super high pressure in my eyes, and it caused a bunch of crap; I had to stop the pill immediately, so I did. I went to the gyno after the pressure dropped to regular and was told I can't be on hormone releasing birth control, that I have one option which is an IUD. They gave me time to think about it, and honestly idk what to do. My older sister had gotten an IUD and it screwed her up pretty bad.

Can someone give me advice on whether or not I should get an IUD?
