Am i overreacting?

My boyfriend reposted a picture of his gorgeous best friend (a girl) on his social media, for everyone to see. He has reposted plenty of pictures of me, and two of her. I have always felt like he may be attracted to her, because I know that he finds her pretty, everyone would. I feel jealous, insecure and disrespected. I’m very upset because he knows that I have always been uncomfortable with how close they are, and that I’m not 100% secure with them being friends. This feels like a punch in the face because he’s aware of my feelings. Am I overreacting by bringing this up?

What is the context behind reposting it? Did she open a business & hes trying to support her by sharing? Is it just a selfie that he randomly reposted? Context makes a difference

I know that when I take or have a great photo of someone, I always repost it when it comes up in my memories. Doesn't matter who is the subject. I think that you have to trust your partner. If he says he loves you and doesn't want to be with her, and there is no reason to not believe him, then believe it. People can be friends with someone who is attractive without wanting more than friendship. You are not inferior to her in anyway, and you deserve to be with your boyfriend, regardless of how beautiful his best friend is. Don't sabotage a good relationship just because you are feeling inferior. So although I understand that this is a difficult feeling for you, I don't think it would be appropriate to hold your partner responsible for your feelings of inferiority. He's not doing anything wrong by reposting a picture. Your feelings about things won't control his behavior. All you can do is tell him how you're feeling and what you need. Tell him that you're feeling insecure and needing some reassurance. If you can't be OK with his best friend because she is a pretty woman, then maybe you're in the wrong relationship for you?

Meant to click no! Your not overreacting I would also find it disrespectful. It also kind of depends on the situation were they always friends even before he started dating you or is this someone new he’s become good friends with recently. I wouldn’t feel insecure if I felt the relationship is secure however if I felt the relationship isn’t as secure and there’s doubts then Yeah I would be worried. where there’s doubts insecurities are bound to be

It’s a hard one for me to answer.  How long have you been together?
As a married woman I would not have male friends out of respect for my husband and marriage, and my husband doesn’t and wouldn’t have female friends.
If it’s serious, and he knows it bothers you that’s where the problem is for me.  It’s just my opinion but having friends of the opposite sex is just asking for trouble.  Maybe not today or even next week, but it’s putting yourself (or himself in this case) in a position to rely on someone else to meet the emotional needs he should be meeting with you.  Does that make sense?
But again it kinda depends for me on how serious/long you’ve been together.
