Breast pain

Last year in March I had that appear on my left boob just on top of my areola and on the left side as well (so not directly on top), then it healed but then I felt a lump on the inside so I contacted the doctor and he felt it too so got a referral to breast care and i got a scan and they said it was nothing just a residue of the ‘wound’ since then my left boob just hasn’t been right, it gets 10 times more painful during and after ovulation than my right boob and I still feel like it’s a lot more lumpy than the right side. But after my period it’s quiet till next ovulation. I am going to contact the Doctor for an appointment tomorrow but I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this or any thoughts?
