Has anyone else had this?

Hiya everyone, I recently started taking the pill again and was due my period about 9 days ago. I’ve taken 2 pregnancy tests on 2 separate days and both were completely negative. I’ve had all my usual symptoms of my period yet no flow? My period usually lasts 4-5 days (lucky I know 😂) but i’ve just been super emotional even though if i had a ghost period it would’ve been finished by now.
Any ideas what this could be?

You’re not going to get your natural, non-birth control period on birth control. You definitely shouldn’t anyway. It’s supposed to “pause” your natural cycle (ovulation). You will only bleed when you take your placebo tablets at the end of your pack. It’s called a withdrawal bleed. It’s also normal to miss that as well sometimes, just test monthly if you ever do (which is good anyway to test monthly regardless if sexually active) 
You may experience some period like symptoms while adjusting to the birth control like cramping or spotting though. Your info packet should go over all of that.

Hey since you’ve started taking it again it takes your body quite a bit of time to get used to it, you might not get your period this month or it might just come at a weird time but it definitely takes a couple months for your body to get fully used to it (from my experience) so i wouldn’t worry about it and just keep a eye on it. 🫶🏻
