Nausea meds for the win!

I have been nauseous 24/7 since I found out I was pregnant in April. The only thing that curbs the nausea is eating. It’s been round the clock snacking for me, and even so, I started vomiting around 12 weeks. Usually always in the morning. Anyway, I finally broke down and asked my doctor for some nausea meds, because I’m 17 weeks and still nauseous. I was prescribed off brand zofran and I tried it for the first time yesterday. It made me feel like a normal person! It was completely night and day! I was able to eat breakfast, a snack, lunch, and dinner. I wasn’t constantly looking for the next snack, to avoid throwing up! And the best part is I felt actual hunger. Hunger! The lil belly growls, instead of nausea! So here’s my question, I noticed my doc only prescribed 9 doses. Is this typical? Is it odd to ask for more now that I know it helps dramatically? Thankfully I only needed the one dose in the morning, so I should be able to stretch them out the full 9 days, but I don’t want to have to stretch it out until my next appointment which is 3 weeks away.
