AITA for using my followers to "bully" a hotel into a free room

Me, my husband, and our 3 kids were going out of town to a funeral. My husband's best friend since daycare passed away to suicide. My husband had been trying to hold it together. They were having the funeral out of town and we had to travel to get there. We booked a hotel on the hotels website for a two night stay. We had to scrap the money together because it was all a shock and so sudden we drove 8 hours and it was around 5pm when we showed up at the hotel. We went to the front desk and it turns out they accidentally somehow overbooked. They took the money out of our account, but we didn't get the room. We said we would take any room they had but they said they were completely sold out for the night and they would be refunding out money and it should be back in our account in 5-7 business days. My husband said "Ok. Well we are going to a funeral TOMORROW and now I don't have the money to get a new hotel room." She said there's nothing they can do so we asked kindly to speak to the manager. The manager came up. We explained the situation and she was rude but told us the same thing. It will be refunded back in 5-7 business days. We were arguing with her because we now don't have money to get a new room because THEY messed up and weren't doing ANYTHING to fix it. Plus we have 3 kids. We can't just sleep in the car for two days. The manager actually said "Well maybe next time prepare a little better. " My husband says "Yes! I'll prepare for one of my friends to die!" My husband had held it together for the past few days but he broke down. This was what set him over and he started crying. The manager just walked away. I happen to have a decently large social media following because of my TikTok and YouTube channel. So I made a tweet and tagged the hotel talking about the shitty customer service. We got in the car to try to figure out what we were gonna do and within 20 minutes the hotel reached out with an apology and they made arrangements for us at a different hotel a couple miles away. They got us two days at their suit along with making a deal with that hotel for a food voucher. I know it was only because I have followers and I am usually against using followers to get things but all I wanted was for them to fix their mistake. We were going to a funeral with 3 kids who wanted to say goodbye to their uncle and my husband to his life long friend. Was I an asshole?
