8th baby 3cm 80% effaced… help?

So I am 36 weeks pregnant with my eighth baby. I just got checked today and Doctor said I’m 3 cm and 80% thinned out. I’ve never dilated or thinned out so much so soon. I guess I’m just wondering if labor is near like the next hours or days near ?￼

normal, as everyone said you can be walking around for weeks before labor comes.

Could be days. Could be 4 weeks. Unfortunately, getting checked doesn’t tell you much of anything until in labor.

I walked around at 3 cm and 90% effaced for 3 weeks when I was pregnant with my son. There’s no predicting how soon labor will be for you with the amount your dilated/effaced.

i walked around at 4cm for 4 weeks before i delivered, unless you’re in active labor dilation doesn’t mean anything. so you could give birth tomorrow or at 40 weeks😂🙃
