I went for my monthly prenatal checkup and a few hours after I got home the nurse called and said the dr wanted me to see a perinatologist. The dr didn't say anything about it during the visit so I'm confused. She said the specialist would be doing the anatomy scan in a few weeks. I know I tested positive as a carrier for a certain condition and was told the father should be tested as well. But I'm confused why I would get a sudden call to see a higher dr. This is the quick look my dr did if baby just to measure heart rate which was 148. I can't help but wonder why he looks so squished in there. But she didn't say anything. So I'm just really scared and confused because with my daughter I didn't have to see a specialist. Any one went through something similar or have any idea why I would have to see the specialist? And does baby look okay? 😢
