What got your babies out?

Question

I really feel like babies come when they’re ready and nothing we do at home will make them come sooner. 
With that being said, my first two babies stayed in 42 weeks which led to induction. I’m now over 35 weeks with baby 3 and DETERMINED to go into labor on my own before I need to be induced. 
Please give me ideas to try to encourage labor, it’s worth a shot!!
(No castor oil, I will obviously never do that)

With my first I was told I could start evening primrose oil once at 38 weeks, it has similar effects to semen softening the cervix when inserted vaginally. I did it at night and the next morning I was in labor 🤷🏼‍♀️ my second and third I didn’t try anything special, just standard walking and bouncing on the ball, they both also came earlier at 38/39 weeks

babies do come when they are ready unfortunately. it’s just biology lol. but you can be active, have sex, drink the raspberry tea, primrose oil, etc just to prepare for labor if it’s clear with your doc. all the old wives tales for inducing labor (for the most part) are good for promoting a healthy labor. No need to make yourself sore though.

My bestfriend swears by epo vaginally 1000mg to 2000mg a night. Her first two came at 40+ and she tried it with her last 2 and they came at 39 weeks. Youll want to start it after 36.5 weeks though. 37 is even safer.
