Red sore spot in veins

Hey ladies I’ve had an issue with varicose veins this whole pregnancy I’ve had an ultrasound on them before other than being extremely ropey and bulgey causing lots of pain mainly in the mornings but over the last few days I’ve had one spot in them that has been really tender like to the touch and all of a sudden I notice today that it’s red right there I called my midwife to see if I should do anything but she is away delivering a baby so I’m just waiting at the moment and to pass the time wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this and what happened in their case .
