My body is SUPER SENSITIVE to changes so I sensed my cholestasis before it showed up on blood tests. I finally showed slight elevated bile acid counts around 30 weeks and they slowly crept up from there. But the second they saw a bile acid count they prepared me for a 37 week induction. It is probably the worst thing ever. I felt like a meth head with how much scratching and clawing I did. And things itch that you didn’t even know could itch. I’m sorry you have to go through it. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
Cholestasis Experience?
I am waiting on the results from my bile acid blood test, so I don’t know for sure.
My bili levels are fine, ALK is fine, but my ALT and ALS is extremely high.
I am itching all over the place, mainly my hands and feet but it’s everywhere. Does anyone have experience with this?
How long did the results take? What type of monitoring do you have to do?
What were your levels on your tests? I’m hoping it comes back negative since my ALK and bili is fine, but if that’s the case I don’t know why I’m so itchy.
