Do you believe in karma?

I was at Starbucks at the end of July and they had a chain of pay-it-forward coffees going. I figured hey free coffee, so I ordered one but didn't pay it forward. The barista asked if I was sure because I was like the 16th or 19th person in line and I said I'm good.
July 31st, my transmission blew in my car. It's a huge repair and my car has only 24 000 miles on it. August 4th, a tree fell on my shed and destroyed it. August 5th, my work laptop randomly died and I lost a huge file I was working on. I got home today and my basement had three inches of water in it. 
I can't get a break and I swear to god it's because I took a damn free coffee!!!

If you’re blaming the coffee, it seems as though part of you may feel guilty or regret not “paying it forward.” I think whatever you put out, comes back to you.. and with that (imo) comes with intent.. so if you do something with bad intentions, then I think bad intentions will find you too. It’s all about intent & perspective. Things fall apart in life .. sometimes that’s a sign of something new coming together. It’s however  YOU want to see it. There is no objective answer here.

Yeah you get what you give, 100%. The way you live your life absolutely attracts the same energy. Karma isn’t necessarily bad. It’s just your own waves coming back to you. Now, do I think taking one coffee sealed the deal? No. But I think that’s one example of not putting good energy out into the world.

I believe in karma but I don’t think it’s because you took free coffee. everyone has times where it’s just one bad thing after another. the chain would’ve ended at some point it just ended with you lmao

I do believe that you get back the energy that you put out into the world. Is it likely that all of this happened because of not paying forward a coffee? I don't think so. You didn't do anything to deserve the hardships. It's quite random. Doesn't seem like an equal payment for your small coffee debt lol "Karma" for that would've been like you spilled your coffee and didn't get to drink it. But if it helps you feel better, it's not too late to pay it forward in whatever way you want. Doesn't have to be a coffee. Any random act of kindness will do. ￼￼
