I am 36w1d did my daily kick count and I didnt feel any movements. I started having contractions as well. I went into L&D to get checked out. They hooked me up to the monitors and left it on for 10 minutes then took it off.

The hospitals obgyn (not associated with my obgyn office) came in. He basically said “you aren’t having contractions, I’m not sure what you are feeling but it is not contractions. Baby looks fine on the monitor. Your cervix is completely shut. I don’t know if you are just wishful thinking baby is coming, but he isn’t today”

Like I’m glad baby is okay, but I feel straight up crazy. I still have not felt movement. These “contractions” are taking my breath away, they are 5 minutes apart, etc. What would you do? Do I just suck it up and deal with it or go to another hospital for a second opinion?
