Baby born at 37 weeks and 6 days
I went in for my routine weekly checkup on July 30th and learned that my platelet levels were constantly decreasing which is a sign of preeclampsia and also my baby was on the large side 😳. My doctor said “we’re going to schedule you for induction on August 13th to prevent you from going into the high risk zone!” I was ok with it because I didn’t want anything to put me or my unborn child in harms way. We arrived at the hospital at 4:00p.m on August 13th and started the softening and thinning of my cervix at 6:00p.m. I started to contract on my own around 8:00p.m, so pitocin wasn’t needed. On August 14th, at 9:11a.m, I gave birth vaginally to a healthy 7lbs 15oz baby girl! I was told if I had of gone to my due date, she would’ve been 10+lbs. Here’s a couple of pics of my sweet baby 😍
