Heavy bleeding and clots

I just had my IUD removed 3-4 days ago and today I was bleeding so heavy I soaked through tampons and my pants once every hour for 4 hours straight this afternoon. It felt like I was involuntarily pushing out my tampons and clots along with cramping during that timeframe . Is that normal after a removal?

The triage nurse told me to continue monitor. Now I’m exhausted and dizzy, nonstop eating too.
