I did my pap smear on the 21st of this month and got my results back today turns out I have an STD call Trichomoniasis. I’ve been with my now ex since August of last year and have gotten tested before I met him and the std in my results was negative, I also got tested March of this year and it showed that this was negative in my results, I’ve only been sleeping with my ex unprotected around that time and I’m sure he was the one that transmitted this STD to me…. Since we’ve broken up I now have to reach out to him and tell him but I feel scared that he will blame me and say I give it to him. I also spoke with my doctor and she said whenever women get an STD test done they automatically check for Trichomoniasis but she said guys don’t automatically get check for it like women and would have to request for it specifically so the doctors can check for it. He probably gave it to me and didn’t know I’m not sure. Idk what to do or how to even tell him this.

Does this mean he probably had it prior to me and didn’t know or does that mean he was sexually active with someone else while with me ?
