Cervical check aftermath??

I had a cervical check last week and was not dilated and had no cramping or spotting.. I got checked again today and I was told I was 1 1/2cm dilated and then about an hour after I got home from the drs I began discharging brown blood… I’ve been having to change panti-liner every time I use the bathroom because it keeps coming down. Only one time it was bright red blood but all the other times it’s dark brown.. is this normal? ?? I’ve never bled after cervical checks with my other 2 kids
