Opinions?

So something just happened outside my apartment. I was heading to Aldi's and one of my neighbors told us some girl is in the trashcan. I thought they meant a little girl and I was like "What?" Because she could get hurt. It was actually a grown woman. My neighbors (who I do get along with) was yelling at this woman for dumpster diving. They were shouting at each other. My neighbors called her a dirty bitch and told her to get a job. The lady said she lives at the Philips(which are really expensive apartments here.) My neighbors said "Get out the dumpster bitch before I call the law!"

Okay, am I insane for thinking this a mind your business situation and calling the police on someone for dumpster diving is a complete waste of resources. Like, if I had seen her in the dumpster I wouldn't have said anything. I would never dumpster dive but idk everyone's situation and some people throw away things that are perfectly fine. Why start all that confrontation over nothing? If the stuff is in the dumpster people don't want it so why care if people take it. And I just feel like calling someone a dirty bitch for dumpster diving and telling them to get a job when you don't know their situation is wrong. I don't know. I just found the whole thing ridiculous.
