Could he take my kids ?

I’m going through a break up and I’m not handling it well at all. On top of that I’m losing my vision in my good eye. I’m already blind in the other. We have kids together and of course they’re with me. He works a lot. Can he take them from me for vision impairment? I’m so scared he can and will. I don’t think I’ll live through it.

Im a former social worker. It all depends if your vision impairment translates to being unable to care for your children's basic needs. A disability in and of itself is not enough to remove children. So for example if you have another adult in the home who can help out, theyre old enough to do things like bathe and feed themselves etc or you can do that with your impairment and you can still manage, then no.

If it affects your ability to care for them it may be best that he takes care of them. If hes a good dad, its not about you its about the well being of his children.
