Hello, I am an 18 year old in home caregiver. Today I had accidentally put a small scuff on my clients car. That is completely on me and I notified them right away. My client was sweet and told me not to worry about it even tho I offered money. Here is where things get tricky tho. My client is increasingly making me uncomfortable with comments he keeps making even tho I have told him to stop. He saw the picture I keep on the back of my boyfriend’s phone and has since made racist remarks. To my client if you aren’t white you’re an illegal. Anyways, during the weekend he had told me this morning that he contacted the college he thought my boyfriend attended. (He called the wrong one and does not even know his name) trying to find my boyfriend so he could “make sure he isn’t lying about being a citizen and maybe even get him deported”. Obviously I did not correct my 73 year old client when he told me what college he called and was completely taken aback by this. So I want to report him and get a different client. Well, I am scared that even tho he declined my offer to give him cash he will use the car thing against me. Also I’m sorry if this is a common sense question I have never been in this situation before. I’ve never damaged any vehicle or dealt with a racist etc. Here is also a picture of proof that I had told him about the car and him telling me he didn’t want anything for it so you know I’m not lying.
