Allergic to pads?

So I've been using the L. 100% pure cotton pads for the past 3-4 years and have never had an issue until now. My last 2 periods I've gotten what I first thought was a yeast infection but now seems like it was a rash this whole time. It went away in between periods but came right back when wearing the pads again. I avoid always pads due to the stories that recently came out about them using metals.. I just.. want pads that won't mess me up 🥲. Any suggestions for brands and also how to deal with possible allergies to this stuff?
