Multiple Chemicals - stories?
Hi all,
My husband and I (he’s 43, I’m 37) are experiencing secondary infertility. We had no trouble conceiving and successfully having our first in May of 2020. So far this year we’ve been trying for 6 cycles and have had 2 chemical pregnancies.
Just looking for some stories on multiple chemical pregnancies and what happened afterwards. The FNP I saw at the OBGYN was hesitant to do a metabolic panel because it’s standard only after 3-4 recurrent losses. I do have a pelvic ultrasound on the 15th to ensure there aren’t structural problems. I asked about progesterone but apparently the scientific evidence really isn’t there - it’ll only help if the problem is actually low progesterone, which is not usually the cause of the problems with the embryo.
I don’t know if I should advocate for the bloodwork or just be happy with the pelvic ultrasound for now. She did say because of the 2 losses and advanced maternal age that I could be referred to a fertility specialist but I don’t know that I want to go that route yet.
Thanks everyone 💜
