4 yr old anxiety issues?
So I’ve been a SAHM since forever, but at the beginning of August & then again in the beginning of September, I was unexpectedly hospitalized for a few days each time. I was only able to prepare my kids once, because it was planned, but not the other times.
My 4yr old seemed to have taken it the worst, but I thought everything was over & done with once I was home for the final time. I haven’t left anywhere for any significant amount of time since then, but my 4yr old seems to have developed crazy separation anxiety. She literally has to physically be next to me 24/7 or she gets all panicky and upset and starts crying. It breaks my heart, but also drives me crazy, and I’m not sure what to do. I’ve been trying to be super reassuring, I’ve tried to be logical, I’ve tried just accepting it for what it is, but it almost seems to be getting worse.
I feel so bad that I had to leave the kids unexpectedly, but it was due to sudden health issues, and couldn’t be avoided. What should i do to help my little girl?
