CLOMID

So I’ve been trying to concieve for about a year and it didn’t work. My doctor prescribed clomid but I’m a little confused as in when to have intercourse with my partner. I understood that the Dr said to have intercourse from cycle day 10 till the 16 but my question is maybe I misunderstood and he meant 5 to 10 days after the last pill of clomid ? (I just started the clomid today the 5th day of my cycle which is Oct 4th - Oct 9th) I’m so confused because cycle day 10 would literally be Oct 10th one day after I’m done taking the clomid for the 5 days. Am I not understanding correctly.
