Where to place baby monitor?

So baby girl will be here Friday!!! Pray for me my anxiety is nuts!!!! Last thing we have to do regarding her is her monitor camera. She’ll be in our room for at least the first 6 months. So i dont know where to put it. Should I put it in our room? Or in hers? I don’t feel comfortable leaving her while she sleeps right now so I won’t be away from her. I also wanna get a monitor that’s just a noise so I can take it to another room once I put her down for naps in her crib. So which ones do you recommend?
