How long was your maternity leave?

If you went back to work, how long was your maternity leave? We’re trying to get pregnant and I read something about enrolling in short term disability leave before getting pregnant. Is there any other ways to maximize the time and get paid? I’m in Georgia

Short term disability is good but only covers the medical part of your leave, which is 6 weeks for a vaginal birth and 8 weeks for a c section. Also make sure to read the fine print because some policies require a 3 month period of having been enrolled before you can get pregnant. FMLA only protects your job and health insurance. I saved up as much sick and vacation time as possible as well.

Mine was only six weeks per my company policy then I used some PTO that I had saved up.
