Birth Story! A little scary moment but blessed 🙏🏻

It was on December 20th and I went To my moms house bc she was making a puerto Rican soup/stew called Sancocho.. I was honestly feeling my best that day , no cramps , no contractions , nothing although I went to labor and delivery 2 days before thinking I was going into labor (turns out that i was wrong!) .. I honestly lost hope that my baby was going to come before my induction day (December 22nd) so I didn't think much of my contractions. The day went on and I ate 2 big plates of soup since that whole week I was eating light JUST IN CASE baby chose to come but anyways .. I told my mom to give me a lower back massage where my sciatic nerves were at and to squeeze the tendons of my legs/ankles bc supposedly they say that it causes contractions and what not .. She did it and it felt great but still nothing, I didn't think it would've actually worked.. Like at 10:30pm I chose to head home and while I was driving I felt a really bad contraction that wrapped around my back and it was really painful , and I started counting them but they were like 20 minutes apart so no big deal.

Immediately when I got home I felt another contraction and I ran to the bathroom with explosive diarrhea !😩😱😭 and so that went on like 2 more times and after I was done I laid on the bed where my bc was at and I was just hesitating whether I should've cancelled the induction date and just wait until my baby chooses to come on her own and I started crying bc I was overthinking about having the baby and me not being able to be the best i can be and I started crying (lol) after that my bf got up and a big contraction came up that literally felt like a blow to my back and my stomach and I freaked out.. (This was like at 11:30pm) I Kept timing them and they were 8-13 minutes apart and I took a bath bc I kept having contractions and explosive diarrhea and at 12:15pm they started coming every 4-5 minutes .. I called my mom so she could see how far along they were and if I should go to the hospital bc they were so painful .. Like around 1:15am my boyfriend and I chose to head to the hospital cause the pain was unbearable and contractions were 3-4 minutes apart.. 

We got to the hospital and walking from the parking garage to get to the hospital was hell and ended up squatting in a wheelchair cause I couldn't sit down .. 

Cervix was 3 1/2 cm and 80% effaced but since my contractions were regular they kept me in .. Got the epidural at 3:30am or so and lord Jesus let me tell youuuu that is the beats feeling in the world! I could still move my toes but I felt a numbing tingling like if your legs were asleep so it was cool to me 😅 then I was still able to feel my belly tightening whenever I had a contraction so i loved it .. At 6:45am I was 5-6cm and fully effaced so they broke my water and emptied my bladder and at 12:45pm they checked my cervix again and I was 8cm . the doctor told me he was going to come in a few hours since he wanted the baby to go as low as she could so there wouldn't be a lot of pushing involved so that's what he did.. 

Before I started pushing the Dr was trying to see if the baby was facing down but once he pulled his hand out of my hoo ha my baby's heart beat went from 150 to 50bpm and i was confused cause everything went fine all this time until that happened . The doctor was talking to the nurse and and an NICU nurse came in and the rooms phone was ringing because they saw how her heart dropped and it was just nerve wrecking .. They put an oxygen mask on me and told me to breathe and the doctor said if her heart beat keeps dropping then they might have to vacuum her head or worse case scenario a C-section...

Thankfully her heartbeat went back to normal and once they told me to push I  pushed like never before. I was so ready to get her out bc I didn't want her heart to drop again so after 13 minutes, 10 pushes ; SHE WAS OUT!

2nd degree tear but no big deal bc I had my miracle baby in my arms 👶🏻💜

And one thing I was surprised about was that I did not crap myself when I was pushing bc of the previous explosive diarrhea I had ! 😅😂😃😃😆🙏🏻🙌🏼 thank god!

She came the day before induction day and I was so glad that it happened that way
